sanguine mountainBOOK DESCRIPTION
Connie Phillips has never told a lie—until now. An anonymous letter shatters the world Connie thought she knew and trusted. The news that her parents aren’t really her own leaves her angry, devastated and alone. The search for the truth leads her down a dark, desolate forest road where she meets a boy in the shadows who has secrets of his own. Rockland’s life has been ruled by an ancient curse since the day he was born. Forever labeled a misfit and a rebel, he is desperate to convince his leaders that integration with the modern world will be the salvation of their kind—not their demise. After their worlds collide in the middle of a dark forest, Connie and Rocks strike a deal to help each other find the answers they both need—away from her lying parents and the judgmental sneers of his colony. But, can they find love on their journey to discover who they are and where they belong in the world?

SANGUINE MOUNTAIN is a sweet, fun read. I loved reading this book. The characters and story line are well-developed. Connie has always thought that her parents were her real parents. Until a letter shatters that bubble. Now she is determined to find her true Mom. She is driving to the last known place her true Mom once lived when she takes a wrong turn and is lost. Her car overheats and she has to find someone to help her out. Now she is on a lone, darkened, deserted road when she comes across a group of people that are at what looks like a festival. She meets Rocks and he helps her with the car. During this he accidentally flips in front of her into a bat. She screams and knocks him out. This is a sweet young adult paranormal romance. I give SANGUINE MOUNTAIN 5/5 STARS.

BRAND OF  THE PACK is a quick exciting read.  This book starts after the last book where Morgan is abducted, because of her silver wolf status. The traumatic experience left emotional scars, and Greyson tries to keep her safe from other abductions. They are to be married, but until they are other packs can challenge Greyson for Morgan. In the week leading up to their wedding Greyson has been in numerous challenges. When Morgan’s mother comes to town for the wedding they have to keep their secret from her. This sets up for some hilarious situations. The story line and characters are well-developed. I come to like the characters of Greyson, Morgan, and Marissa. I recommend this series and book to everyone. I give BRAND OF THE PACK 5/5 STARS.

BOOK REVIEW- HOLLYWOOD ROYALTY BY T.S. MCKINNEY

hollywood royalty by t.s. mckinney
Victoria Winstead. My parents are the reigning King and Queen of Hollywood and since I am their only child, that clearly means I am a pampered princess who is accustomed to getting everything I want, when I want it, and how I want it…and right now, I want the most coveted role in Hollywood. One thing stands in my way.

Grayson Leman. This bastard is the only son of the reigning Prince and Princess of Hollywood and I hate everything about him; always have and always will. Our families have a history and it isn’t pretty. It’s ugly, Hollywood style. Oh yea, he’s the one thing standing in my way.

Annabelle Hutchinson. She’s the creation of a writing trio that has managed to rock the entire female population with their erotica novel, Dark Lovers. They have single-handedly brought mommy porn front and center and made it not only acceptable but sexy as hell. A movie deal was made and I am literally (this is embarrassing to say) having to actually fight for something for the first time in my life.

Not to worry, though…I am Hollywood Royalty.

HOLLYWOOD ROYALTY  is a great, funny read. The characters and story line is well-developed.  Victoria is an actress whose parents are Hollywood Royalty. She has always hated Grayson Leman because of what his parents had done to her parents. She has never liked him even though she has never met him. Hollywood has wanted Grayson’s parents and Victoria’s  parents to do a movie together. Never going to happen. When Victoria goes to Texas to read for a new part, she is thrown together with Grayson. There is instant chemistry with them. I recommend this book to everyone. You will enjoy this book. I give HOLLYWOOD ROYALTY 5/5 stars.

URBAN FANTASY BOOK REVIEW- SPIDER’S TRAP BY JENNIFER ESTEP

spider's trap by jennifer estep

Book Description
Publication Date: July 28, 2015
The next thrilling book in Jennifer Estep’s New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling Elemental Assassin series—“an extraordinary series.…One of the most intriguing heroines in the genre” (Romantic Times Book Reviews).

Keep your friends close but your enemies within stabbing distance.

One important lesson I’ve learned in the assassination business is that to be the best you have to roll with the punches. Now that I’m queen of Ashland’s underworld—by default, not by choice—a lot more punches are being thrown my way. But I suppose that’s the price of victory for taking down some of the underworld’s top dogs. Good thing I have my Ice and Stone magic to help me survive my volatile new position. Just when I think things are finally settling down, someone tries to murder me during a hush-hush underworld meeting. But the real surprise is how strangely familiar my shadowy assailant seems to be.

My job is to maintain order among killers, crooks, and thieves, and soon I’m embroiled in a bloody game where the ability to keep secrets could be the greatest superpower of all. My enemies have all sharpened their knives and laid their traps, waiting for me to fall. But this Spider weaves her own webs of death…

AWESOME!! AWESOME!! AWESOME!! THE SPIDER’S TRAP starts off after The Spider(Gin Blanco) defeats Mab Monroe’s daughter and becomes the New Queen of the Ashland Underworld. Gin is mediating a dispute on The Delta Queen between two of the city’s crime lords, who both want the coin laundries that Lorelei owns. In true Gin style she does not like listening to these two squabble about who should own them. All she wants to do is stab them. During this shouting match, she notices something different about the guy serving the champagne. She makes him nervous and he runs. She chases him down as he jumps overboard, just as she was to follow, she is shot at by a sniper. She goes back to the bucket to check and there is a bomb inside. She yells for everyone to get of the boat, and as time gets down to the wire, she jumps overboard. I loved this book!!! There is action from the very first chapter. The characters and story line are very well-developed. I love the character of Gin Blanco and all of her friends and family. They just help the story to flow and move along. I give THE SPIDER’S TRAP 5/5 STARS. I cannot wait until the next book in this series.
