I was given a copy of this book by the Author for an honest review.

TOPPING THE ALPHA is another great read! The characters and story line are very well-developed. Jake receives a call from a girl he helped to escape from her father last year. Something has killed her Mom and she is afraid. Jake and Nick met and had a wild night after his brother’s wedding, and now he wants to get back together. He is in town for a while, and helps Jake rescue Alyssa and find out who killed her Mother. Alyssa’s father raped and abused her,  until she left with her Mother and changed their names. Now they believe the Father has found her. His political career hinges on his past not surfacing. Samantha Cole has another hit on her hands, and cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next. I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

CITY OF LIGHTS is an action packed wonder. Tiger was bred to be a type of humanoid soldier to fight the shifters and vampires in the war 130 years ago. She is the  last of her kind. At least she thinks she is. When she is asked to help find the  missing children, she just cannot say No. In trying to find the children, she finds out that she is not the only Déchet out there. She is able to see and talk to the dead, and they help her to solve this mystery. There is more going on than missing children. This is such a good book, and I really like Tiger. I recommend this book to everyone. I give CITY OF LIGHT 5/5 STARS.

THE UNKNOWN ELF BOOK BLITZ

Karlie Lucas is a preschool teacher by day and a writer/artist by night.

A graduate of Southern Utah University, Karlie received a B.A. in Creative Writing, with a minor in art. She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, The International English Honor Society, as well as ANWA, the American Night Writers Association.

“Just come back this way, nice and easy. Come back to your room and I’ll
forget all this ever happened.” He held the gun with one hand, steadying
it with the other. All he had to do was squeeze the trigger.
“No!” she yelled in defiance as thunder
cracked around them. Rain streamed down her filthy flesh and unwashed hair.
“I’m not going back to that. I won’t be your prisoner. You won’t use me
any more!” She trembled all over, remembering all the things she’d been
forced to do. All the things that had happened since her parents had
disappeared. “I’d rather die!”
“Fine.” He brought the gun to bear as
she ran towards the ladder and fired. Lightning lit up the sky with the sudden
flash of ignited powder. It filled the night with an almost overwhelming
intensity as the bullet sped from the chamber of the handgun.
The bullet struck just left of her chest, near the
shoulder blade. She lost balance, twisting from the force. With eyes wide open
in shock, she stared at the man who had taken everything away, her freedom, her
family, and now, her life. Her feet continued to twist as her head whipped
around, sending her over the roof’s edge as thunder rumbled through the air. A
scream of agony was forced through frozen lips, and then was silenced as the rain
came pouring down.
