I hang back until it’s clear all the immediate family members have transport before trying to spot a spare seat in one of the cars.

“No,” I reply. “I didn’t think I’d need them today.”

“Ah, well, you never know,” he observes, shifting in his seat.

“You’re looking very smart very smart yourself,” I remark. “But then, I think you always do.” I appraise his suit critically—after all, fair’s fair. The unmistakable bulge behind the zip of his trousers makes me wish I hadn’t been quite so thorough. Again, my cheeks heat.

“You know,” he drawls, “I really am very pleased to see you.”

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

I love Lori Foster’s writing! She always writes a story that captures you and doesn’t let go until the end.  The story an d world building is always very well-developed. Phoenix comes to Cooper’s Charm to take a job, that will hopefully help her to get her life back together after a burglary shattered her confidence.  Cooper and Phoenix gets closer and the chemistry is hot. They end up adopting a stray dog together. Phoenix’s sister comes to visit and agrees to take the housekeeping position. A stalker shows up and starts to make Phoenix’s life hell, but with Cooper’s help she won’t let it destroy her again. This was such a wonderful book to read. I give
Cooper’s Charm 5/5 stars.
