Prosperity Baxter (Peri) is selling her soul for fame – figuratively of course. Everyone who is anyone in Hollywood has gone through Jameson Frye to get there. Peri has a once in a lifetime meeting with him, set up by her father Harris Baxter, the biggest name in hypnotism on the entire West Coast.
But in the movie industry, you don’t get something for nothing. Peri pays the ultimate price before she is thrust full speed ahead into her new acting career. The manager Jameson sets her up with, bad-boy HUDSON GREGOR, is known for his amoral reputation. Peri learns early on that Hudson is not to be crossed. But when secrets begin to surface as the scenes from the horror film she is starring in begin to dredge up memories she was never supposed to remember, she will have to learn to rely on him.

Prosperity is determined to find out if there is enough good in this world to overcome the evil she sees everywhere she looks – even in her own eyes.

About the Author

Brittany Raschdorf is a devoted mother of two who lives in Chesapeake, Virginia with her husband and their two dogs. Growing up, Brittany was always tethered to a book, only putting them down occasionally to play in the mud or roughhouse with her brother. She knew deep down she had a passion for words—it was the way the black jumped off the white and landed in her soul as she read. But it wasn’t until she began to write that she truly came alive. And it wasn’t until she became a mother that she realized she had a story to tell.

Excerpt
28) Earning Your Parents’ Respect.
As a kid, when it comes to parents, us having, earning and receiving their love, is almost guaranteed. You can be one of the most stubborn, unruly, wayward kids and they would still love their child and that’s for life. It’s fairly easy to have a parent’s love but it is a whole different thing to earn a parent’s respect.
This is because love and respect come from two entirely different places. The love comes from what they feel for you, almost through themselves. Respect  comes from what they think about the what, and the “way”, you are doing things, that you are doing in your own life. As a kid, you can disgrace your parents and they will still love you. But even though they do love you, if you disgrace them, they won’t respect you. As their child, you can act shamefully and your parents will still love you. But if you act shamefully, they won’t respect you. You can steal from them and lie to them and they will still love you. But if you steal from them, and lie to them, they won’t respect you. As a kid you can smell bad and look terribly messy and they will still love you. But if you smell bad and look terribly messy, they won’t respect you. As a kid it can be very hard to earn the respect of your parents. You can’t just smile your way through this one. If you want your parents’ respect, you are going to have to earn it, and fight for it. This is because it isn’t as easy as being loved by them. Your being respected by them is definitely worth a lot to them. When it comes to your parents, the “way” you do things, the “way” you get things, the “way” you live and the “way” you keep things, does matter to them.
As a kid, watch the “way” that is being promoted in your surroundings. A “way” that you have the power to use, choose or change for yourself, in your own life. They may not say it but they, as parents, look for proof of character in everything that you do as a kid. Proof that you have made a point of displaying character in all that you, as a kid, do or touch. Your parents watch your life for proof of honor and honesty, hoping to find both honor and honesty present, in the “way” you do everything as their child. They especially watch for decency, which is based mainly on how well you treat other living things in your surroundings. It’s about how you use the power that you have over others, including smaller kids and pets. Your parents look to see you show mercy on those who have messed up on you, that are also smaller than you, like your brothers or sisters. It makes them, as parents, very proud when they see you, as a child of theirs, showing forgiveness to those who have foolishly wronged you. As you are growing up, it makes your parents really proud of you when they see how powerful you have become. They are especially proud when they see how gracious, kind, merciful and considerate you can be. They marvel at how great you have become, when they watch you being able to share with those who have given you nothing. As a parent, it gives them great joy to see their child, you, stand up against opposition to preserve the rights, safety and freedom of those around you as a kids. And the thought that if you were around a place, even if you were just passing through, that when you left that place, it would be better and cleaner because you were once there.
These are the types of things that can help you as a kid who already has their parent’s love, to earn their respect. These are just a few of the actions that can help a kid earn their parents’ respect.

Playground In My Mind is the story of Taylor Bouchand, a woman who enjoys success through creativity.  Each day she wakes with a sense of accomplishment in her artistic ability that has earn her not only an impressive income, but respect for her work as a sculptress and painter.  Taylor controls her own destiny
That is until she meets a little boy in a gazebo on a cold wintry night.  He is just a little boy, with an odd way of saying things when they first meet, but all of that changes as Taylor sees him again and again. He tells her is name is Michael and she learns that the more she sees him the closer she is drawn to him.
Taylor realizes that there is something different about Michael, but not even her creative mind would have guessed what was happening.  Michael, is aging faster than humanly possible.  At first she tries to convince herself there is a logical explanation and what she thinks is happening is not possible.  Only there is no logical explanation.
Taylor decides she needs professional help and sets up an appointment with a psychiatrist.  This is not easy for her as she is aware that in order to create her life is about mystery and adventure.  This could all be her imagination.  Yet, she can’t believe that to be true.
Being a psychiatrist Dr. Paulson has treated a great variety of mental disorders ranging from mild and temporary to severe and chronic.  Over the years he has helped cure fear, panic or phobias manifested in certain situations that can greatly affecting a patient’s career, social life and mood.  It helps that he knows a little about this new patient Taylor. He knows her work and her reputation.  But it takes several sessions with Taylor, before Dr. Paulson finally hears her story.
His immediate opinion is that she is suffering from a mild depression as the result of emotional trauma and tragic events in her life.  As she shares more, it still doesn’t surprise him, but he decides that Taylor may suffer from hallucinations and delusion.  He has dealt with many patients who envision something that cannot be.  It is a matter of determining the cause which he is sure will lead to a logical explanation.
Only Dr. Paulson has a change of heart when he has a dinner party with his friends Peter Newman, the husband of Christine who passed away in a fire many years ago, and the Mastersons who are clients of Taylor.  Neither one knows of a connection between them and the famous Taylor Bouchand.   There are many surprises unveiled that evening that would uncover secrets and open their eyes to strange possibilities.  They would all soon realize that life isn’t quite how we perceive it, but holds secrets from all of us.
This story is set in the suburbs of Rochester in Upstate New York, runs about 119,000 words and is somewhat similar in tone to Octavia E. Butler’s Wild Seed

I was interviewed for an article on the front page of the Irondequoit Post for my fiction book released in 2000 and entitled Til Death Do Us Part?  I appearances on RNews (now known as YNN) in Rochester New York for my fiction book, and a nonfiction book entitled Who Says I’m Small in 2006, also promoted at the LPA (Little People of America) in Orlando Florida and Erie Pennsylvania in 2008.  I opened my home base computer business, J. Addie and I watched the guys play round after round of Skee-Ball, while Chloe jumped and cheered and stole the occasional ball from each of their rows. No matter what my state in life was, I was happy the three of them had found one another.

“Here, let’s get our picture drawn.” Knocking me out of my woolgathering, Addie guided me toward one of the caricature sketchers who sat just outside the carnival gates. The man had a unibrow the size of Lake Michigan’s shoreline, and his mustache was curled at the end, handlebar style. But his work was amazing. Charcoal sketches with colored eyes, balloon- shaped heads with movie-s tar hair.

“How much for both of us?” Addie asked, fishing through her purse. We sat on the stools, as directed, our shoulders touching.

“Thirty- five,” the guy said, his fake French accent too thick to be believable.

I groaned and looked at my friend. “Seriously? That’s too much.”

“Seriously. We have to do this.” Addie mocked me. “Look at how cute those are.” She pointed to a couple with a heart surrounding their heads. Little doves swooped in the air around them, carrying heart balloons in their beaks. Had to hand it to the guy. He was talented.

“I’ve got this, ladies.” I looked up at the sound of Max’s deep voice, finding him searching through his wallet. He pulled out the money, handed it to the artist, then lifted his gaze to meet mine. A soft smile covered his bow-shaped lips, and everything inside me stirred to life at the view.

Addie faked a cough, then pressed a hand over her stomach. “Oh…oh no. I don’t feel very good, guys.”

I faced her and narrowed my eyes as she stood. Don’t, I mouthed, already knowing her game.

Ignoring me, she looked at Max and said, “You’ll take my place, won’t you, Max?” She batted those brown eyes and twirled a lock of her dark hair. No doubt her way of getting anyone and everyone to say yes to her. “Lia here was dying to get her picture drawn.”

Oh, the little liar…

Max nodded, immediately taking her empty seat to my right. With an extra hop in her step, Addie walked away, her ponytail swinging back and forth more the closer she got to Collin and Gavin and Chloe. I wanted to pull it out of her head.

“All right, look this way.” I blinked at the sound of the artist’s voice, my body far too aware of Max’s heady scent.

God, why did he have to smell so good? Fit so perfectly against me?

“You’re much too stiff.” The artist tsked from behind his easel. “Here, wrap your arm around zee pretty lady’s waist, like so.”

I sucked in a breath as Max’s hand was guided along my back, ending at my side with his fingers tucked just under the edge of my T- shirt. I swallowed, shifting in my seat and instantly remembering our kiss— the way he’d moved his mouth over mine.

Warmth pooled low in my stomach, drifting in between my thighs. His touch was like adrenaline, kick- starting my orgasm-starved body to life.

“Chin on her shoulder, lips close to her ear…” I shuddered as Max followed the artist’s directions to a T, the stubble on his chin igniting a stormy thunder inside me. Max seemed unaffected, his chest rising and falling at an even rate, while mine was suddenly in asthmatic mode.

“Relax,” Max whispered in my ear, his warm breath grazing my neck. “I’m not gonna bite ya.”

I shut my eyes and shifted once again, the ache between my thighs becoming unbearable. “I didn’t want to do this,” I finally murmured, refocusing on the artist.

Max laughed softly, his chest vibrating against my back and shoulder. “I know you didn’t.”

My eyebrows pushed together in annoyance. “Then why did you agree to sit here?”

“Because Addie wouldn’t give up until I did.” He sighed, far too relaxed compared to me.

I was jumping, itching, crawling with…something, yet he was unaffected. Which only further emphasized that he didn’t want me the way I did him.

“Plus, she folds my underwear, remember? Gotta make sure she doesn’t stick ants in them or something.”

“Yeah, like Addie would ever stoop to your level.” I couldn’t help but grin, my nerves easing slightly.

He squeezed my ribs. “You would.”

I turned to face him, our noses inches apart. “Damn right I would.”

A slow nod later, he moved even closer, our bodies in sync…

My smile fell away. “Maxwell,” I whispered, so lost in his dark eyes that I couldn’t concentrate. The apology was there on my tongue like earlier, but the need weighing me down was even heavier. How could I ever be just friends with a guy who was likely to break my heart, no matter what we were to each other?

“Tell me why you kissed me that night.” He looked at my lips, a serious glint in his eyes.

Blood rushed to my face at his out-o f- the- blue question. My composure slipped as confusion took its place. Why was he asking me this?

“Because I…” I gulped. “I owed you, remember? For bailing me out and for keeping me safe from those guys.”

Something shifted in his eyes. Disappointment? I squeezed my eyes shut at the thought. When I looked back at him, I knew I was imagining things, because flirty, fun Max was back, winking at me. “Well then.” He cleared his throat. “That’s good to know.”

“What’s good to know?” I frowned.

“That you still owe me.”

He gambles everything to help the one woman he should stay away from. When the truth comes out, will her feelings be strong enough to forgive him, or did he gamble everything only to lose it all in the end?
Master Me, Please COVER
Krista Matthews thought nothing could be harder than losing her husband and Master to suicide until the man he’d entrusted her care to left her also. By the time Dr. Dax Hayes returned from an overseas, volunteer medical tour, she thought she was over his deflection and ready to re-immerse herself in the BDSM world she needed and missed so much without his help. One scene proved how wrong she was and after Master Dax’s timely rescue, she agrees to let him tutor her back into the lifestyle. She hadn’t counted on her growing feelings for the strict Dom or his refusal to take her over completely, like she craved.
Dr. Dax Hayes fell for Krista Matthews the minute he looked into her blue eyes and saw the sated, content look she shared with her husband, Dr. Kurt Matthews. He managed to keep his feelings and lust under control until his friend and colleague asked him to join him in gifting Krista with a menage for her birthday. Knowing it was a mistake, but unable to resist, Dax succumbs to the temptation of this one-time scene, never realizing where it would lead. A year later, after sealing his fate with a questionable act, he flees on a guilt trip only to return and discover nothing had changed-he still wanted Krista Matthews with an ache that wouldn’t be assuaged by anyone else.
Unable to resist stepping in when she gets herself in trouble, Dax again gives in to temptation and aids the one woman he can never have back into the lifestyle her submissive nature needed. When Krista learns the truth, will her feelings be strong enough to forgive him, or did he gamble everything only to lose it all in the end?

Master Me Please Teaser 1

An Excerpt from the Book

Take an inside look at Master Me, Please. Read this sizzling excerpt from the book.
“Why didn’t you stop?” Dax growled at the other man, each of them positioned at Krista’s sides and reaching to undo the cuffs.
“I didn’t hear her,” he snapped in defense, his posture as rigid and unapologetic as his icy tone. “She should’ve spoken up louder.”
Dax snapped his mouth shut and turned his attention to Krista’s shaken, perspiration damp body as she collapsed into his arms. Regardless of the less than favorable circumstances and his guilt, it felt damn good to feel the press of her soft, lush curves again. Lust joined his rage, the two volatile emotions a bad combination when they revolved around her. Wrapping one arm around her slender shoulders, he allowed her to bury her face in his shoulder for now as he reached for the clothes the Dom handed out.
“My apologies.”
Nodding, Dax watched the man stalk off without a backward glance and gritted his teeth against the urge to snap at him again. His indifference to Krista’s struggles proved what an asinine Dom he was, but nothing else. He sure as hell didn’t intend to call him back to fulfill his duties and take care of his sub. That job just landed in his arms, and he wouldn’t turn away from it this time like he had after Kurt’s death. Temporarily, for good or bad, she’d just become his to see to, at least for now.
“Get dressed. We’re leaving.”
